ACCOUNT PAYABLE / RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST
Description
Prepare, examine and analyze the Company’s accounting records, budget and financial statements and interfacing with numerous vendor companies. Establish accounting protocols and budget fields that accommodate installment plans as well as immediate payment plans. Analyze internal and external operational and financial data; identify opportunities and problems; formulate and develop cost effective, optimal strategic models to expand market share in the stone product manufacturing industries and to support efficient operations for the Company, while ensuring compliance with Davis Bacon wages, FHA and HUD and AIA Pay App compliance. Identify and define the proper quantitative, qualitative, and monetary and interest entries to input the respective accounting fields.
Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment. Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices. Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments. Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. Secures financial security by completing database backups. Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION | Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or its foreign equivalent. Employer will accept an academic equivalency evaluation found to be the equivalent of a US Bachelor’s Degree by an accredited educational evaluation company. |
EXPERIENCE | 36 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternative job position of Purchasing Specialist. |
